Live Rail Cams

This page contains a listing of known rail cams in the Pioneer Valley region of western Massachusetts.

The YouTube feeds include the last 12 hours of recorded video. If you don’t see a train, move the red slider slowly to the left. Before long you are bound to see something interesting.

Note that YouTube will sometimes display an advertisement before the live video starts. You can usually skip the ad after a few seconds.

The camera above was setup by MassDOT in 2019 as part of the Morgan-Sullivan Bridge replacement project.

The camera allows people in the area to check and see if the crossing is blocked by a CSX freight train, waiting to enter or depart from CSX’s large rail yard in West Springfield. The Springfield Republican reported in 2018 that this crossing can sometimes be blocked for up to an hour by a stopped CSX train.
